  8. signed the papers taking over the
  9. company name and inventory of
  10. Centsible Software. Run by Scott
  11. Parker for the last several years,
  12. Centsible software is purported to
  13. have the largest stock of commercial
  14. Commodore and Amiga software in the
  15. world. Covering 800 square feet of
  16. floor space with software/pallets
  17. stacked 4 to 9 feet high, the
  18. Centsible inventory is stored in a
  19. warehouse.

  21.     News of the impending sale broke
  22. on Tuesday, February 4. In a couple of
  23. letters to the e-newsletter, Amiga
  24. Update, Bill Griffin wrote about his
  25. concerns in trying to buy the company.
  26. One buyer wanted to put forth the
  27. money in order so that all the
  28. inventory could be sold off piece-by-
  29. piece on eBay, the Internet website
  30. for auctioning goods.

  32.     Bill wanted to keep the inventory
  33. off of eBay and run Centsible as a
  34. real business catering to Commodore
  35. and Amiga users. Bill, an employee
  36. (technician) of Centsible and
  37. publisher of the paper magazine, the
  38. New Amigans, needed extra money to
  39. close the deal with Scott before the
  40. other buyer could put his money down.
  41. Through the generosity of several
  42. individuals -- who Bill has said will
  43. be repaid -- he was able to get the
  44. thousands of dollars necessary for the
  45. down payment.

  47.     In a telephone conversation, Bill
  48. said that he wants to continue keeping
  49. Centsible as a profitable business. He
  50. stated that there is a relatively
  51. large Amiga market in the U.S. with at
  52. least 3,000 users. Centsible will be
  53. Bill's job, and he's expecting to
  54. spend 8-10 hours a day running it. The
  55. largest buyers of Commodore and Amiga
  56. software have lately come from Puerto
  57. Rico, Panama, and Brazil.

  59.     Bill has begun the task of moving
  60. the Centsible inventory to his storage
  61. facility. Also he wants to revise the
  62. Centsible website, making it easier to
  63. use. He wants more ways to put the
  64. Centsible name out front of the
  65. public. Having attended Amiga shows
  66. like AmiWest 2000 and the Gateway
  67. Amiga Expo 2001, he is interested in
  68. attending Commodore shows, like the
  69. Louisville Commodore Expo and the
  70. Chicago Commodore Expo.  (His town of
  71. Edwardsburg, Michigan is only a few
  72. hours from Chicago and a few hours
  73. more from Louisville.)

  75.     Bill has been into Commodore for
  76. many years, uses Commodores in his ham
  77. radio club, and is a member of his
  78. local Amiga club.
